LastBid

FAQ

Everything about the lead and the pot.

Short answers about bids, the lead, the prize pool, fees and the pool liquidity.

01What counts as a bid?

A bid is a buy of $LASTBID with ETH, made in this app or on Uniswap. Its size in ETH is compared with the highest bid of the current round: a bid strictly bigger takes the lead. A smaller bid still gets you the tokens, it just does not take the lead.

02Do I need to keep my tokens to keep the lead?

No. Once you lead, you can sell your $LASTBID whenever you want and you keep the lead until someone places a bigger bid. The only exception: selling in the same transaction as the bid that took the lead hands it back to the previous leader, and a buy made after a sell in the same transaction never takes the lead (no flash leads). From the next transaction on, selling is free.

03What if nobody bids during a round?

If nobody takes the lead, there is no winner: the whole prize pool (ETH and $LASTBID) rolls over into the next round, which then starts with a bigger pot.

04How do I claim my winnings?

If you lead when the timer ends, a Claim button appears on the game page. One click settles the round (if nobody did yet) and sends the prize to your wallet, in ETH and in $LASTBID — 100% of the pot. Your winnings never expire.

05Can I trade on Uniswap directly?

Yes. The pool is a regular Uniswap v4 ETH/$LASTBIDpool on Uniswap's standard fee tier, and the hook never changes swap amounts, so the Uniswap app and any router can trade it: thepool fee is taken on every swap and feeds the pot, and a buy made on Uniswap takes the lead exactly like a bid made here. The hook asks Uniswap's router who placed the trade (falling back to the wallet that sent the transaction). Only orders filled by a third party (intents, solvers) credit that filler instead of you.

06Buying on the Uniswap app: should I turn off UniswapX?

Yes, if you are going for the lead. With UniswapX, your order is filled by a third party (a “filler”) who makes the swap for you: for the game, the bidder is the filler, so the filler would take the lead instead of you. In the Uniswap app, open the swap settings and turn UniswapX off before buying, so the swap goes through Uniswap's router from your own wallet. Bids made in this app never use UniswapX.

07Can the liquidity be withdrawn?

Yes. The whole $LASTBIDsupply was seeded as liquidity at launch and the position belongs to the game's hook contract. The owner can withdraw it at any time, without notice, for example to migrate the game: the ETH and the unsold $LASTBID in the pool go back to the owner as they are (nothing is swapped). It closes the game for good: the current round ends right away, its leader gets the pot (with no leader, it goes to the treasury), and all unclaimed winnings stay claimable. The owner can never touch the pot or the winnings, and your $LASTBID stay yours. If ownership is renounced, the liquidity is locked forever. Nobody else can add liquidity to the pool.

08What happens at the last second?

The timer is fixed and is never extended. The last qualifying bid mined before the end wins: if a bigger bid lands in a block after the deadline, it no longer counts for that round.

09What is the fee and where does it go?

The pool uses Uniswap's standard fee tier: every buy and sell pays it, on its input side — in ETH for a buy, in $LASTBID for a sell. The game's hook is the pool's only liquidity provider, so it earns 100% of these fees and puts them all in the prize pool of the current round. The winner takes both, ETH and $LASTBID. No treasury cut.

10Is it audited?

No. The contracts have not been audited. Treat LastBid as an experimental game: play responsibly and only with amounts you can afford to lose.

11Which networks are supported?

The game runs on Robinhood Chain. It is built for Uniswap v4, so it can be deployed on any chain where Uniswap v4 is live.
